The Playboy's Guide to the Fake Fiancee by Piper Marlowe

Fake fiancée, forced proximity, road trip fun

4 stars

Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Piper Marlowe for sending me an e-copy of this release to read and review!  I review the first book of this trio here, and keep an eye out for my review of the next book which will be released this weekend!

Honestly this book bested my expectations!  I started it with the thought that it would be an entertaining but completely predictable read - after all there are only so many ways the fake fiancée trope can go, right?  Wrong. Piper Marlowe does a great job at keeping this story fresh and readers guessing at what the next turn will be. I love the road trip element as a way for these characters to learn more about each other and to slowly start to break from the ruts they are stuck in. Not to mention the characters themselves are fun to get to know!  Chloe is passionate and honest, unapologetically true to herself. Reluctant business heir Dylan needs a little more of that in his life, so these two are a perfect mix.  Their chemistry, while slow to flame, is burning once their spark catches, and their road trip hijinks make this a great read.
