Hello!

Okay, so I'm new to this whole blogging thing so I'm going to start by saying I LOVE READING!!  I'll read just about anything!  On my blog I'm going to recommend books and let you know what books I've been reading and if I liked or disliked them and stuff like that, and you can comment and recommend good books to me, because I'm always looking for new reading material.  Sound good?

    Michaela -

I pulled three books off of my shelf that I thought you'd enjoy. Also, have you started reading any Jane Austen? She is my favorite author and you are welcome to borrow them.

The three books I picked out are The Tale of Two Cities by Charles dickens, The Alchemist by Paolo Cohelo and Stones by the River by Urusula Hegi.

Let me know if you'd like them.

Did Jane Austen write Pride and Prejudice? I think that's the only one of hers I've read, but I really liked it.

I'm Back Baby, and Better than Ever!

Hello!!  Sorry I've been gone so long!  Now, I know I say this every time I haven't blogged for a while, but I've decided to update every Saturday.  It's not a school day and I won't have to worry about finishing my work, and I'll have finished at least 2 books at the end of each week.  So from now on, every Saturday I'll post a new book summary.  (I've decided that's what I do.  I don't review, I summarize.) Also, if you can take a moment to look to the left of your screen.... you should notice I have a poll up there.  On that poll is a list of books!  These are the books that I need to read, but I can't choose which to start with.  So... TAKE A VOTE!  What book have you read?  Which one has a better title?  Did your read all of them?  Great!  Tell me which one you enjoyed the most, which one you think I should read, which witch is which?  Vote for what book you want me to read first.  I'll give you until ...

Reviewing Book Box Subscriptions

Image
Did you know that, like with most things these days, books can come as a subscription service?  For today's blog post I'm doing something a little different.  Rather than reviewing a book for you, I'll do a quick review of the four major book box subscriptions that I've tried.  In other words, I bought them so you don't have to!  (Although of course, since I enjoyed most of them, I do recommend you try at least one if you're interested.)  And just a note: this content is not in any way sponsored.  All thoughts are my own honest opinions about the boxes and the items I've received through them. Book Box #1: Book of the Month (BOTM) I started Book of the Month thanks to a gift of a 3-month subscription from my aunt.  The main thing to note with BOTM is that this subscription is only books - in the other three boxes I review, bookish merchandise/items are included. Book of the Month picks out five new books each month for its subscribers.  With your...
