Reading

I don't understand how it is possible for someone to dislike reading!  Well, I guess I kind of understand, but still!  Reading is my way of getting away from home... while I'm still at home.  I've loved to read all my life, but some of my siblings think I'm weird ( naturally ) for loving to read.  Of course everyone has their own opinions, and my opinion just differs from theirs.  Oh, and I wish that more people had the time to read.  My dad loves to read, but he usually doesn't have the time, and my mom always wants to read, she just doesn't have the time either.  I feel bad for people like that, because I'm so used to being able to read whenever, wherever.  Well not whenever  and... not exactly wherever either, I guess.  But I do get to read a lot !!  In my opinion, it is sad when people can't read for whatever reason or when people don't like to read.  Although I don't expect everyone to be able to read as often as me, I wish more people got

Much Ado About Anne by Heather Vogel Frederick

In the second book of the mother daughter book club series, the girls are reading Anne of Green Gables and they have a new member in their book club, the snobby Becca Chadwick, one of the Fab Three in seventh grade.  Becca was one of Megan Wong's friends before Megan became friends with the other girls in the book club.  Becca is still mean to Emma, Cassidy and Jess, and Megan feels torn between her friends.  When Jess' parents are in danger of losing Half Moon Farm, Mrs. Wong embarrasses Megan by handcuffing herself to a tree at Half Moon Farm as a protest.  When a picture of her mom somehow finds a way into the school newspaper with Emma as the one who wrote it, and Cassidy as the one who took the picture, Megan sides with Becca against her friends.  But Emma and Cassidy claim they didn't write the article, and they think Becca accused them to make them look bad so Megan would ditch them and go back to hanging out with Becca and the Fab Three.  Her plan worked, and the Fa

Mother Daughter Book Club Series

I just finished reading these books for the second time, and they are great!!!  The books are written by Heather Vogel Frederick and there is four in the series so far.  I'm not sure if another one is coming out or not but I definitely hope one is!!!  The first book in this fantastic series is titled The Mother Daughter Book Club.  It's about four girls who are very different.  First is Emma Hawthorne, who loves reading and writing (just like me!!!).  Emma's mother, Mrs. Hawthorne arranges a book club between the girls and their mother's after yoga class.  As Emma would say, anything that happens after the mother's yoga class is Uh-Oh.  Sadly, one mother isn't present for the book club.  Mrs. Delaney moved away in the past to become an actress.  Jessica Delaney, along with her meddlesome twin brothers, help run the farm that Mr. and Mrs. Delaney own.  Although Mr. Delaney is an honorary member of the book club, he needs to watch after the twins and get work done
