Image
Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Erin Nicholas for sending me an ARC of this book!  I am so excited to be a part of the blog tour for this new release - Erin Nicholas is one of my favorite authors. Below is my honest review of the book, which you can also find, as always, on my Goodreads .  I also reviewed the first book in this series here . The second book in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series focuses on Fletcher Landry and Jordan Benoit. Best friends since the age of six, Jordan and Fletcher know a lot about each other, and they’ve always been there for each other. Fletcher ends up being Jordan’s knight in shining armor at every turn... and suddenly she needs it more than ever when her boyfriend proposes to the wrong woman in front of a massive crowd.  Through a series of unexpected turns, Jordan does end up married - to Fletcher. Being married to your best friend should be a piece of cake, but Fletcher quickly starts to realize that knight in shining armor is a difficult j

Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and Sarah Ready for gifting me an ARC of this book in exchange for a review! Below is my honest review, which can also be found on my Goodreads .  Also, be sure to check out my bookstagram ( @bookworminkayla ) for more fun book updates! Photo by me The small town of Romeo, NY, is known for love. Living there her entire life, Chloe Daniels is a romantic - despite some less than ideal relationships she’s had over the years. But that is all about to change. A psychic with a 100% success rate predicts the identity of Chloe’s soulmate, but the catch is she only has one week to find him. Chloe’s aunt hires a private investigator to help her track down her man... but Nick O’Shea is a cynic who doesn’t believe in love. More than that, Nick and Chloe have a history. As they road trip across the country tracking down Chloe’s 7 possible soulmates, these two end up in places they never would have imagined.  I love soulmate stories, and this one is both cute and fun

The Marriage Game by Sara Desai

I’m in love with the way Sara Desai writes love. Photo by me - from my bookstagram @bookworminkayla Through a series of  unforseen circumstances, Layla Patel and Sam Mehta have to share an office space above the Patel family restaurant.  Layla is just starting her new recruitment consultant business, while Sam is CEO of a corporate downsizing company - in other words, Layla finds jobs and Sam cuts them.  And their differences don't end there.  As Layla and Sam fight over their office space, they continuously clash (in all the best ways).  Additionally, Layla's well-meaning father sets her up on a series of blind dates and they all come right to the office doors, causing more trouble (and opportunities) for Sam.  As these two enemies spend more and more time together, the lines of their game begin to blur and they start to question what it means to win. Riding on mutual attraction from the start, Layla and Sam are very much not subtle as they compete for their office space. Al

While You Were Texting by Delancey Stewart and Marika Ray

Thank you to Social Butterfly PR and the authors for including me in the blog tour for this book! Below is my honest review, which can also be found on Goodreads . Lincoln Cunningham’s mother has set him up on 15 blind dates. She just doesn’t seem to get the message that he has no interest in a relationship, and so he regularly sits at Paint It, Pal, painting frogs and suffering.  New in town and living in a fixer-upper of a house (with vineyard attached) left to her by her aunt, Hannah Delacourt knows nothing about grapes and has no intention of staying in Solano Creek for any longer than it will take her to get the vineyard in order.   As an employee at Paint It, Pal, Hannah is witness to all of Lincoln’s date disasters, and when he slips her an SOS asking for a text to get out of his latest date, she obliges. Via text, the two come to an agreement - Hannah will act as fake-girlfriend to keep Mom Cunningham satisfied and Lincoln will survey the grapes and help her with the land.   B

Before reading, please be aware that this is an advanced review of this book, which will be published on June 1st, 2021.  The review is spoiler-free but does contain my thoughts and reactions to the story, which I know some readers prefer to avoid before they read the book.  Special thank you to Random House Children's Books and Delacorte Press for the ARC of this book I received through NetGalley!  This review can also be found on my Goodreads page here . Photo from my bookstagram This is the perfect book for romance novel enthusiasts; the main character, Evie, is one of us. Or, she used to be, before she stopped believing in love.  After giving away her romance books, Evie gains the power to see a couples’ love story from the sweet beginning to tragic end.  In an effort to learn how she got this strange gift of sight, she follows the trail to La Brea Dance Company. At the studio, Evie meets X, and through a twist of fate they enter into a ballroom dance competition, which means
