2017 in Review...

Image
Once again we've reached the end of the year and once again I've been awful at blogging.  Overall, this makes for my third blog post in 2017, and it's essentially the same as my first blog post of the year.  To quote Harry Potter... As always, I have a plan for my blogging this year, and at the moment I'm feeling pretty confident that 2018 will finally be the year my blogging plans work.  I have scheduled blogging into my calendar every other week.  So I'll be back, posting again on Jan. 10th, and will continue to post consistently throughout the year.  Some months may drop to only one post a month, but I will be posting every month.  I'm also blogging on  https://howtocollege604.wordpress.com  and will be posting there on the weeks I have not blogged here.  And don't forget to check out BookWormin' on Pinterest and follow my new blog account on Instagram at blogstagram18 . The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

Yes, I'm back with more Rick Riordan books.  (You know you missed it.) Image found on Google In The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan, readers meet a few new interesting characters.  Namely, Lester Papadopoulos, age 16, and his demigod companion (read: master), Meg McCafferty, age 12.  What makes these two particularly interesting is that Lester used to be the mighty Greek god Apollo, before Zeus punished him for all the nonsense that went on with Octavian in the war against Gaea.  (For reference, look back to any of the Heroes of Olympus books.  It's all connected.)  Meg claimed his service, and now Apollo/Lester must follow her commands while trying to fulfill the quests in front of him.  That's right, the god of prophecy is on the receiving end now. Lester tries to reconcile his quickly fading memories and god-status with his teenage body and the fact that not many people seem to care about his problems.  (How dare they!)  At the same time, Camp Half-Blood is havi

A Year in Review...

As per usual, I have not been the greatest at keeping this blog updated, but it's not for lack of books! According to my 2016 Reading List , I read 151 books last year!  (Plus a few I might have forgotten to add) Unfortunately, only 6 of those books have a blog post about them 13 of the books on my list were e-books, read on my Kindle or using the Kindle app 5 books were ones I had also read earlier in the year (mark Re-read on my list) Within the list, there are at least 24 different book series There are 56 different authors on the list My three highest months for reading were: June with 30 books, May with 23 books, and August with 19 books My three lowest months for reading were: February with 2 books, January with 3 , and March with 5 Overall, although I only posted 10 posts in 2016, and a mere 4 of them focused solely on books, I feel like 2016 was a good year for the blog!  I started a Pinterest for BookWormin', which you can check out here .  I also
